The Sewing Room

Elizabeth Kinder made this her sewing room. Even though the Kinders had plenty of money, it was still considered a middle class woman’s job to make much of the clothing for her family. Elizabeth Kinder’s sewing machine is one of the few items from the family we are able to display.
