“Hands on History: Civil War Soldier” will feature a lesson on the important subject of the daily life of the typical Civil War enlistee. Interpretive Curator Emma Marston will teach attendees about the experience of the average enlisted man rather than the battles and skirmishes that took place. In addition to a soldier’s daily routine, Ms. Marston will also discuss the technological advances that resulted as an aftermath of the war. This event is designed for children ages 5-12 and their families. It is free of charge due to the generosity of VFW Post 2992.
