From its first appearance until today, ice cream has fascinated us. We love our cones, sundaes, and sodas. Curator Emma Marston will explain their origins and and the technological and marketing innovations still in use today. The lecture will include the presentation of artifacts from Des Plaines' own ice cream institution, the historic Sugar Bowl, and all guests are invited to share their own memories of the restaurant.
