Distinguished artists such as Rhonda Popko will demonstrate and explain their skill in 2D media like painting and drawing. Rhonda Popko, Des Plaines Art Guild President, explains the importance of artists interacting with the community: “Art can be a very solitary, kind of lonely existence and having a group changes that dynamic. I always love being in the presence of like-minded people and the Des Plaines Art Guild provides events, opportunities for making new connections and learning more. That is why the Art Guild still exists after 65 years.” Members of the public are invited to observe and bring in their own work for discussion and assessment. A positive, educational afternoon is in store! Attendance is free with a $3.00 suggested donation.
That same evening, a reception for the Des Plaines Art Guild Annual Exhibit will open from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We look forward to a vibrant discussion among Guild members and interested members of the public.
