"The Great War in Des Plaines" will be formally unveiled on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:00pm. 2018 marks the 100-year signing of the armistice of World War I by major world powers England, France, and Germany. This exhibit will focus on home front efforts by Des Plaines citizens and the devastating effects of the flu pandemic. Curator Philip Mohr invites all community members to attend and share family or travel stories related to World War I. This event is free and open to the public.
